Great doll
Can I just say AMEN to painted on tights?? Really, that's the extent of my review. This doll only has a tutu that can be removed. Everything else is molded or painted on. That means not being asked 100 times to take it off and put it on and it means one less doll lying naked around my house. I'm worried the legs will pop out of joint due to the very ambitious dance routine my daughter puts her through, but so far they've held. Great toy!
Ballerina Barbie proves to be another great one.
We purchased several of these Barbies and as always not disappointed. We do some selling of our own, but we try to chose toys that we can buy for the grandchildren in the lot, so naturally when we saw these Barbies we jumped on it.
The leotard part is made on to Barbie so you can never lose it and sometimes that is a good thing with little ones. A plus also is that is comes with the little pink brush. When you are collecting Barbies, it is always a plus to get accessories that come with certain ones.
Another great Barbie
I purchased this Barbie to give to my 3 year old granddaughter at her first dance recital instead of the usual flowers. She loved it.
Fantastic First Barbie
I bought this doll for my 3 year old daughter. My first Barbie was a Ballerina Barbie, too! I was slightly dismayed to find that the outfit (with the exception of the skirt) is molded on. However, for a 3 year old, who's hands aren't quite adept enough to clothe regular Barbies, this is a GREAT aspect for a toy. Of the five Barbies she has gotten since, only Ballerina remains clothed and is played with far more frequently than those who need an older sibling or mom to get them dressed! In hindsight, this is the PERFECT first Barbie for a preschooler and a worthwhile purchase.
