Rodan!! My favorite monster!
As a child's toy, I think he could withstand quite a bit. He's big enough so a child would have a difficult time sticking him in their mouth. He doesn't seem fragile, but I wouldn't recommend chucking him out a window to see if his wings don't break.
For educational value, he IS a giant pterasaur so dinosaur fans would like this.
However, one negative I will say is the price. The price is outragous. But Rodan is really hard to find so I guess paying was worth it. Especially with free shipping.
In short, Rodan is a wonderful figure for children and collectors alike.
One of the most famous monsters of all time, now in toy form!
Most everyone knows Rodan. He's one of the "Big 4" of Toho monsters: Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah. This toy does him justice, with a nice look based on his latest appearance in 2004. Rodan is in fact capable of standing upright on a hard and even surface if his legs are positioned correctly (his head is also movable). A more dynamic pose would be welcome (perhaps one with moving wings), but as is Rodan is a good addition to Bandai Creaton's ongoing line of American Godzilla toys.
Looks Great
If you are like myself and love Godzilla and other TOHO monsters, then this is a must have for your collection. The only problem with this and why it didn't get five stars from me is because it doesn't stand up! It looks great, yes, but it keeps falling over since Rodan doesn't have a tail to balance him with. So, if you have something to prop him up against, then take him out of the box and enjoy him, but keep him in the box and look at him if you enjoy having it to look at. Because he does fall over every now and then
Best Aunt in all the world
We had not been able to find this toy in stores for several months. We had people looking for it all over the country. When it was getting time to think about Christmas I knew what I was getting for my nephew. He is a huge Godzilla fan. I found it easily. It came in a relative short time. When he opened it he was so excited and all the other presents he opened with one hand b/c Rodan was in the other. He slept with it and constantly played with it.
