Not a bad tool for developing "make-believe" scenarios.
I wish that there were a few more identifiable buildings to go with the school and such. However, it's still a worthwhile product.
Better than expected!
Had read other reviews on this product before ordering a "road carpet" for my 3 year old son. His daycare has a huge road carpet that he started playing with when he was two. I'm very happy with the purchase of this rug. It fits well along-side his race car bed on a hard wood floor and never slips or rolls up on the corners/ends. The design appeared as shown in the picture. I accompanied this Christmas gift with the Hot Wheels car case and it was a big hit!
Great road carpet choice! My kids love it!
"Santa" brought this for my two sons (7 & 4) for Christmas. Santa chose this because unlike some of the other options, the mat is actually carpet (not plastic). I like that it is narrow because they can both reach across to either side, and it rolls up to a very convenient, storable size. It is easy for them to roll up and put away, it is very well made, and it has great roads, parking spaces, stores, pond, airport, and on and on. You won't be disappointed with this. My kids are pretty rough with their toys, and I can see that this is going to last a long time. Its durability would probably work well in a daycare or doctor's office too.
I did take note of another reviewer's fear that it came with a picture on the outside, so I was on the lookout for it so my kids wouldn't see. However, it appears Amazon may have taken care of this issue, as it came in a regular Amazon box (no photo). Maybe the other reviewer got it shipped directly from another source.
My 2 boys love it!!!
This is one of the best toys we ever purchased for our 2 toddler boys. We have had it for over a year, and it never gets old. It takes up virtually zero space, and it is easy to take out of town for entertainment in a hotel room or cabin. The other plus is that it's long and narrow so 2 or 3 kids can play on it at the same time without getting in each others way. My 3rd baby is even going to get to play with it when he's old enough because it's still in excellent condition! We love it, and it was worth every penny!
